hi, my name is Flora Umba Anak Mangik. I come from Bintulu Sarawak. I studied at Uitm Jengka Pahang in course Diploma in Wood Industries (Part 3). I have been here since July 2013. I'm too excited study here, it's fun. Well, far away from my home. Know a new life here is better for me. Now I'm in semester 3. I have too many new friends here and i love them !

Dipolma in Wood Industries
My blog is about Diploma in Wood Industries. This is some of our history and background. Diploma in Wood – Based Industry (Diploma Industri Perkayuan) or Diploma in Wood – Technology is established in 1973 under the Faculty of Applied Sciences. It was the one and only Diploma Program in Malaysia during that time. In the beginning, this course was accomplished in Shah Alam. Then, for some infrastructure reason, this course was transfer to UiTM Pahang branch (Jengka), which provide a better infrastructure facilities and more space that suitable for this course studies environment. This transfer was accomplished in 1995 .

Diploma in Wood Industries is a 3-year or six (6) semester programme with each semester consisting of sixteen weeks. In addition to theoretical and laboratory work, students are also required to undergo practical training at various wood-based industries. This is to enable students to integrate the academic principles that they have learned with actual industrial practice and to familiarise them with the working environment.

By graduates from this programme are accepted for employment by government agencies and the private sectors as Assistant Technical Officers, Assistant Quality Control Officers, Marketing Officers and Management Executives.

Graduates will have the opportunity to further their studies locally or overseas, in the fields of Wood Science and Technology, Forestry, Marketing, Business Management, Finance or Accounting. UiTM offers BSc. (Hons.) Furniture Technology for graduates of this programme with a one-year exemption depending on their performance at the diploma level.

 Our Program

When we are in semester 1 and semester 2, we should join the program that build over year ago. The program is called Family Camp. It's to fun, i never join the camp something like that.

When we in semester 2, we should join Forest camp for subjek WTE199 (forest camp) . We should go to Penang for a one week and go to Lentang for a 3 days and 2 night. During the learning season, our faculty do some events like "melukis logo persip". The winner will receive a present.

Every semester, we have a dinner for our faculty. All students in Diploma in Wood Industries should come to dinner party.
